often get requests for
information about pre-war pupils
as families try to complete
family trees. The Prescotian is
proud to reproduce the register
of former pupils that was
contained in F.A.Bailey's first
edition of the History of Prescot
Grammar School in 1944. The
register lists every known pupil
from 1877 to 1944. The register
shows surname, initials and entry
and leaving years where known. It
is a great pity that in
subsequent updated editions of
the History of PGS that such
records were not maintained in
the same way!
