on E-Bay for my constitutional
stroll through stuff Prescotian,
I came across a copy oif the new
"Old Ordnance Survey
Maps". Lancashire Sheet
107.07 features... Prescot 1925.
Being a geographer and lover of
maps, I had to have a copy and
fascinating it is! There is also
a brief history of prescot
realted to the features of the
map in 1925 by Roger Hull ( who
he?). There is also an inventory
of all the shops and businesses
in the town at that time. Here is a
section of the map before the
Ordnance Survey imprison me for
some treasonable offence!
