Comments on the Dave Friar letter

Dave Friar is a
Labour councillor on Prescot Town
Council. Until a few years
ago he was on Knowsley Council
and still contests the Prescot
East seat each year. His
position as Chair of the TGB is
obviously strategic. There
was no consultation with local
Councillors and we don’t
have knowledge of any widespread
public consultation. On the
original questionnaires, Prescot
featured prominently but we feel
that there could have been
manipulation when it came to the
shortlist. It appears to be
yet another attempt to take away
Prescot’s identity and stamp
‘Knowsley’ all over it. [Prescot Councillor]

This
is clearly a rigged decision with
Knowsley flunkies like Mr. Friar
and the newly appointed
headteacher trying to justify its
mandate. Being part of Knowsley
has been a disaster for Prescot.
Knowsley does not represent
prescot but its core support of
cantril Farm etc. hopefully, a
change of government and local
authority reviews may create a
more suitable laocal authority
that represents places like
Prescot, Rainford etc. [Trevor
