| I
remember going to the Parish
Rooms for a variety of events as
well as being the regular meeting
place for the Prescot Company of
the Church Lads Brigade. The CLB
was split into three sections,
the Young Boys Corps for 7-10
year olds, the Junior Training
Corps for 11-14s and the CLB
proper for 14 to 21 year olds!
The
times we played crab football in
that big hall! I can remember
meeting and getting the autograph
of early Coronation Street's
Minnie Caldwell, numerous fetes
and fairs and of course Sunday
School and the start of the
Sunday School Treat walks to
Knowsley Park. [Trevor
