More and more
young people in school are getting involved in
mentoring - both as mentors or those chosen to
receive support from a mentor. A number of pupils
are seen by adult mentors from both within the
school and the wider school community.
Pupils are being trained to act as peer-mentors.
We have thirty year ten pupils who have
undertaken training and are just about to embark
on training some year nine pupils. |
Mentoring
is available for any pupil within the school. It
is a way to help them reach thelr potential by
supporting and encouraging them to do their best.
The year elevens who are currently finishing
their exams were very enthusiastic about the help
that they get from their mentors, but it is not
just for older pupils as younger pupils within
the school are also involved. |
