| The
attached photo was included in a
press article in the St Helens
Reporter on 26th January
1973. A number of PGS sixth
formers formed teams in the Stock
Exchange Game - designed to teach
us all the joys of investing in
stocks and shares and presumably
to encourage us to become
stockbrokers. My
recollection is that we duly
invested our allotted funds in
week 1 - the Stock Market crashed
in week 2 and all the teams in
the UK bar one lost money.
The winning team had forgotten to
invest anything until the final
week of the game - by which time
the market was rising and they
duly came out on top!
