All contributions to this year's magazine have been both considered and chosen by the editors in an attempt to make this magazine a true reflection of attitudes throughout the school. Far too often, in the past, the magazine has been criticised for either being too subtle and without appeal to the lower school, or that it has been too naive and lacking in literary quality.

This year we have attempted to bridge this gap by finding a happy medium that includes works which appeal to both upper and lower school readers. Although we have not been overwhelmed with contributions, nearly all of those received have been of a very high standard and have covered a wide spectrum of attitudes throughout the school from the first form to the upper sixth.

We would like to thank all those who contributed to, or helped in any way with the production of the magazine.
