For
the first time in their history
Prescot School have lifted four
Knowsley Basketball titles. This
season the school entered four
teams in local competitions and
won the Knowsley Championship at
Under 12, 13, 14 and 15 age
groups.
The local senior Basketball team,
Kirkby Hoops have recognised the
quality of some of the
youngster's by signing up Glynn
Hunter, Philip Lathom and Carl
Burnett for league duty. |

Head of
boys PE Iain Handley believes
that their success has been
greatly helped by the building of
a new Sports Hall in 1996 and the
hard work of the youngsters.
He said, " The building of
the new facility has given a
focus for PE in the school. The
children are in practising
Basketball at break times and
lunch times that has helped to
improve their standard of
play." |
