| F.A.Bailey, long serving
history teacher at Prescot Grammar
School, was a prolific local historian
with many publications, articles and
references to his name. He was certainly
an expert on all things Prescotian and
found time to write extensively about
Lancashire. One of his greatest feats was
to research the history of Prescot
Grammar School, which was first published
in 1944 to coincide with four hundredth
anniversary of the founding of the
school. There have been two updates to
his history of the school in 1971 and
1994. |
