Fifteen
year ten pupils are the first to become Junior
Sports Leaders. Over, the past two months those
pupils have, been learning how tolead sports
activities.They have been working on
communicationskills, teamwork, organisation and
refereeing. The big test will come in June when
the leaders will be put through their paces
leading groups of children from our local primary
schools.
Prescot
school is now part of the nationwide active
schools project. Over the coming months we are
looking to add to our already wide and varied
after school sports clubs. The school is working
closely with other schools to develop sporting
opportunities for pupils. Coaches, facilities and
equipment will help us achieve the goal of
getting all pupils involved in sport.
Wednesday,
20th June is the day for Prescot's first primary
school festival. One hundred and eighty pupiIs
will be using our facilities, giving them the
opportunity to try new sports and sample life at
secondary school. The pupils will be from Evelyn,
St Mary and St Paul and Maryville. It will be a
big day for Prescot year ten pupils as junior
sports leaders. Peer mentors will be on hand to
help the PEstaff to organise the festival.
